Illowa FCA is thrilled to be a participant in this year’s Birdies for Charity. Birdies for Charity, a program in conjunction with the John Deere Classic, helps Illowa FCA raise money by collecting flat cash donations or by obtaining pledges of one cent or more per birdie made during the John Deere Classic.

Birdies for Charity provides many benefits to Illowa FCA as well as the donor. 100% of every penny you pledge toward the Illowa FCA goes to Illowa FCA —all administrative and promotional costs of the program are covered by John Deere. In addition to your generous contribution, the John Deere Fund will provide a 5% bonus on the total amount pledged; in 2012 an 8% bonus was actually given….well above the 5% promised. All of these donations will help Illowa FCA carry out our mission "To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church."

As a participating donor in Birdies for Charity, you could potentially earn some rewards for yourself as well. In addition to knowing that you are helping Illowa FCA fund our mission, there are many prize opportunities available to you. Each person who makes a pledge has the chance to guess how many birdies will be made during the John Deere Classic. The lucky donor who guesses the correct number will win a new vehicle offered through Birdies for Charity. In addition, there are numerous other great prizes. Your donation is also tax deductible.
